Service Project at Red Clay Greenway

On February 20, 2017 the scouts participated in a community service project. It was a cleanup in an area next to the West Branch of the Red Clay Creek in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania.

The work area was a low lying wooded area prone to flooding. Over time much debris had come to rest in the area.

The main focus was the removal of plastic containers used in the mushroom growing industry.Flood waters had floated them into the woods where many had become lodged.

It was hard dirty work but the scouts were up to the task.
